THE HISTORY OF THE
Day of the Dead Parade

The Day of the Dead Parade is an annual event in Mexico City to honor the Mexican holiday of the Day of the Dead in November. The parade, which features colorful costumes and floats, was inspired by the pre-Hispanic tradition of honoring deceased loved ones. The parade was positioned internationally when it appeared in the James Bond movie, Spectre. Since its inception in 2016, the parade has become a popular tradition and a celebration of Mexican culture and fiesta.
